September 2005 - Exciting Development, Dave Wallace Joins Chartwell
For over two decades Chartwell has been distinguished by our passion for the challenges of the public sector. Our steadfast commitment to Canadian public sectors has allowed Chartwell to gain a unique view of the complexity of public sector needs and pathways to successful change.

Our vantage point as a continuous provider of service transformation and ICT planning excellence has afforded Chartwell the opportunity over these years to lead the development and adoption of public sector reference models and enterprise architecture open standards, in support of public sector interoperability and service improvement. These standards are now being embraced at all levels of government.

Chartwell's reach is now national, assisting provincial, municipal and federal clients from coast to coast supporting governments in innovative strategic service transformation opportunities, across government boundaries and jurisdictions towards the goal of all governments - more citizen-centric government services.

In September we strengthen our public sector commitment even further. The Chartwell team is very proud to announce that Dave Wallace, Ontario's Provincial Chief Technology Officer has received a two year leave of absence to join our firm and lead our joint vision of Chartwell's National Public Sector Program.

The program advocates both government and industry use of open standard reference models, and architecture standards that will promote cross jurisdiction collaboration, promote excellence in service delivery and assist the modernization of governments. In his role as Vice President, National Public Sector Program Dave will provide advisory services, leadership and support to other provinces, federal departments, municipal corporations and technology industry leaders embracing the use of open standards. With this Dave will continue building on the leadership he provided in the development of the Ontario Government's Enterprise Architecture Program.

This type of executive exchange demonstrates an innovative new development opportunity by Ontario's Government, and underlines their belief in public/private partnerships in establishing common standards and skills.

In Dave's role as Chief Technology Officer for the Province of Ontario, Dave led the overall provincial Enterprise Architecture Program and managed the future direction of provincial technology investments and change management processes for common infrastructure. Dave is known across Canada and beyond for his insights and vision that brought the Enterprise Architecture Program to the province in 1998.
