City of Toronto, Shelter, Housing and Support 2008 Resource Development and Fundraising Initiative, Corporate Partnerships Training Session, October 23, 2008. The goal of this conference was to share ideas on the topic of building sustainable partnerships between charities and the business community. Held by the City of Toronto, this annual week long conference for non-profit Board members is designed to provide attendees with board performance improvement ideas and skills development opportunities. This is a service offered by the City of Toronto to all charity organizations receiving funding from the city.

Showcase Ontario is the largest annual public sector information technology education event in Canada. On September 8-9, 2008, Ian Gilmour, Chartwell's Chief Methodologist presented on “Project Portfolio Management: Taming Complexity and Change”. The presentation established the business case for project portfolio management (PPM), identified critical PPM strategies and activities and demonstrated the synergy between enterprise architecture and PPM.

The Municipal Reference Model, Version 2 Webcasts

MISA/ASIM Canada is envisioned to become a foundation for a pan-Canadian
reference model that will enable all governments to describe and map their services
in a coordinated way. On July 8, 2008 MISA/ASIM Canada aired the first of 3 webinars to address the evolution and future of the Municipal Reference Model (MRM) and its potential to help municipalities plan the next generation of service delivery. Alan Mitchell, Senior Consultant and Partner, Chartwell, Skip Lumley, Chief Methodologist, Chartwell and Roy Wiseman, Region of Peel delivered the first webinar entitled, "Providing a Context for the Municipal Reference Model".
