Jim
will be leaving his role
of Deputy Chief Information
Officer of the Government
of Canada to assume the
position of Chartwell’s
Vice President, National
Public Sector Program.
This
is an exciting announcement
for Chartwell. The firm
is being strengthened
by a distinguished public
sector leader recognized
from coast to coast
and on the international
scene. Upon joining the Treasury
Board Secretariat in
June 1999, Jim was responsible
for leading the common IM/IT infrastructure for Government On-Line.
Beginning in 2001, he developed the approach for the federal Chief
Information Officer on stewardship of IM/IT for the Government
of Canada.
In his role as Deputy CIO, Jim has become known
across the nation in all
orders of government for
his vision and exceptional leadership. Jim is synonymous with
successful government program delivery, the championing of open
standards for public sector service transformation and ICT planning
and for his leadership in cross-jurisdictional collaboration.
Jim championed numerous government and international committees
on ICT innovation.
Jim’s joining Chartwell propels us to greater
heights of capability for our
clients.

In his role as Vice President, National Public
Sector Program Jim will
provide client advisory
services, will shape the
future of Chartwell’s
markets and services to
our public sector clients
and will assume leadership of our open standards advocacy investments.
He will operate from our Ottawa office.
