Shangri-La, At The Shard is launching a new wellness concept, ‘Find Your Shangri-La’ launching on 21 June. The carefully curated programme draws on the talents of fitness experts, mindfulness gurus and professional nutritionists to help guests and Londoners alike achieve a more balanced lifestyle.
The mythical Shangri-La described in James Hilton’s 1933 novel, ‘Lost Horizon’ is a sanctuary of peace, happiness and serenity. Invoking its namesake, Shangri-La at the Shard’s wellness programme invites guests on a personal journey to find their inner peace, sense of purpose and learn to enjoy a healthier life. For guests staying at the hotel, acclaimed personal trainer, Dan Roberts and his team have created a series of in-room videos including an energetic and challenging HIT session, a calming yoga lesson and a mobility workout designed to help participants stretch and realign after a long flight or day in the office. For early risers, guests can take advantage of the complimentary running club available throughout the summer with Personal Trainer Gus Barton from the Dan Roberts Group.
In addition, the hotel’s culinary team worked with Clare Gray, dietitian and chef from the Dan Roberts Group to craft a special wellness menu featuring low sugar smoothies, energy balls and nutrient-dense dishes.
To launch the programme, Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London will also be hosting an expert led summer calendar of wellness events available to both resident and non-resident guests. Over June, July and August, guests can enjoy poolside yoga with Jessica Skye, mindfulness sessions with Zen master, Michael James Wong, and a series of insightful talks and Q&As with pioneers from the world of fitness, beauty and nutrition. These thought provoking sessions aim to inform, challenge and empower participants to find the balance between the fast paced nature of contemporary life and an opportunity for reflection and growth.

‘Find your Shangri-La’ starts from £635 per room based on two people staying. The experience includes an overnight stay, a personal training session for up to two people with Dan Roberts or one of his team, a complimentary healthy breakfast and smoothie for two, complimentary tickets to the wellness events taking place during your stay and complimentary use of the hotel’s leisure facilities.
