Ben Kosic– by Jeff Smith

If one was to describe Ben in terms of mythology he would be our corporate ‘Janus, with swimfins’ – viewing in two different directions but always ready for a scuba experience. Ben is one of those rare individuals who can shift context with ease and success - one as our Chief Financial Officer, the other as one of our industry’s most talented technology architects.

We are always proud to say that Ben has been with Chartwell for his entire career. He joined Chartwell in 1987 even prior to his graduation from Engineering at The University of Toronto in 1991.

As our CFO Ben’s leadership results in sound fiscal management and a robust company infrastructure. As good as Ben is with our firm’s financial strategies, his other view is through the lens of enjoying perpetual client demand for his sure footed leadership of complex business and technology management projects. He leads the majority of our private client and insurance sector engagements where he guides business planning, architecture and technology procurement and implementation projects of enormous complexity. The greater the complexity, the greater his comfort gained through applying the same disciplined and thoughtful approach used as a CFO; and he is only satisfied when his client is satisfied.

As you can imagine Ben loves to explore the aquatic world, knowing all the best scuba locations but his zeal for underwater treasure is far surpassed by the treasuring of time spent with his family, with his wife and 3 handsome little boys.
